Man United have had a brilliant time under OGS, winning 14 of the 19 matches, however, the loss last night against Wolves proved that there’s still a lot to be done for Manchester United to challenge on all fronts.
The one area that Manchester United definitely need to upgrade is the Right-Back position. The days of using Ashley Young as a makeshift Right Back are long gone.
The 33-year-old looked off the pace last night and while he has the experience and the right mentality, Young can be left exposed against pacy wingers.
The solution? Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been brilliant for Crystal Palace this season. The 21-year-old has had the third most successful challenges in the Premier League and has been a revelation in his position.
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson, as reported by the Daily Star, is open to the sale of AWB, granted the price is right:
“Every footballer has a price.
“Just because they [Wan-Bissaka and Wilfried Zaha] have a contract here doesn’t mean they have their feet nailed down here.
“The club is in no way advertising them as sellable objects.”
It’s obvious that with his talents and skill sets, AWB WILL displace Kieran Trippier in the England squad in the near future.
If United want to, they have to go for AWB now, before his value skyrockets 10 folds in a few months. God knows we could be set for almost a decade with AWB, Shaw and Dalot at our disposal!
