Manchester United Midfielder Ander Herrera is demanding £200,000-a-week deal to sign a contract extension at the Old Trafford.

Herrera currently earns £130,000-a-week and according to various sources, United as offered him a fresh deal worth £170,000-a-week to extend his stay beyond this summer at Old Trafford.

According to Metro who have quoted mirror, United’s insider has commented on the matter:

‘Ander has been a fantastic squad player and the offer we have made him reflects that.

‘We want him to stay. He can be a big part of the future under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

‘But we have gone as far as we can. We can’t be held to ransom. We have to be realistic about what his value to the club is.’

Does the Spaniard deserve that kind of contract, or should we let him go and sign another replacement in the summer?
