Man United vs Arsenal: Injury News, Latest Updates And More

Man United and Arsenal fans all over the world are getting ready for an exciting encounter at the Old Trafford when the Red Devils take on the Gooners tonight in the Premier League late kick-off.

Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is battling with the injury problems in his squad.

The Norwegian has missed the services of Luke Shaw and it’s unlikely that the Englishman would be fit for the encounter against Arsenal tonight:

“Luke’s back in training today, so let’s see how he is. He’s getting there so let’s see how he reacts the next couple of days,” Solskjaer said this week.

“He’s been working really hard, so we hope to see him before the international break.”

Paul Pogba finished the full 90 minutes in the League Cup last week, however, the Frenchman suffered a knock to his ankle and could be a doubt for today:

“The situation is he [Pogba] finished the game, 90 minutes, which was fantastic, but he got a knock to his ankle which is very swollen,” Solskjaer added.

“So it was better not to go there with the team and he’s in a race for Monday. But that’s the way it is.”

On the subject of Martial and Rashford, the news is less than pleasing for the United fans:

“I wouldn’t put my life on it but that’s part of this game, you work with what you have and we’re looking forward to this game,” he replied.

There’s good news for Arsenal fans as far as the injury situation is concerned with Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin in contention for the first-team minutes after their long injury lay-offs.

Kieran Tierney is expected to make his full debut for the Gooners, while Emery could stick with Sokratis and Luiz at the Back.
