Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff won’t be joining Manchester United this summer according to the Magpies manager Steve Bruce.
Sean Longstaff has been a primary target for Manchester United after it was revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considers him as an ideal replacement for Ander Herrera.
However, the talks of Longstaff to United has died down in the last few weeks ever since the Harry Maguire rumours surfaced.
Now, according to the latest reports, the Red Devils are looking to complete the deal for Sergej Milinković-Savić to strengthen the midfield, add to that, the following comments from Newcastle United’s new manager Steve Bruce, we might have moved on from the 21-year-old:
“That (Longstaff to United) won’t happen. I’m very confident.
“We don’t want to sell our best young players, that’s for sure.”
The Red Devils fans were never really fond of the Sean Longstaff to Manchester United rumors anyway.
So, the latest update on the situation only met with some positive reactions from the United fans. Take a look at it for yourself:
Brucey, proper Utd captain to this day by not letting Utd get mugged off for Longstaff.

Sean was way too young and inexperienced to be playing for a club like Manchester United. Hopefully, these latest reports means that Sergej Milinković-Savić to United will be done soon.
