Sporting CP star Bruno Fernandes’ agent is set to travel to London this week in a hope of finalizing a deal with either Manchester United or Tottenham.
Bruno Fernandes has been a long-term target for both the Premier League club as Spurs and United go head to head for the signing of the 24-year-old.
With the Red Devils still in search of Ander Herrera’s replacement, Adrien Rabiot was recognized as one of the options to replace the Spaniard, however, Rabiot ‘reportedly’ opted to move to Juventus instead.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are looking at Bruno Fernandes as a possible replacement for Christian Eriksen who is unwilling to extend his contract at Spurs.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still in search of a creative midfielder who can score goals and create chances for the forward line from the midfield and Fernandes’ staggering stats make him just the man for the Norwegian.
Similarly, Fernandes has quality and the required skill-sets to replace or even start alongside Eriksen in a Spurs midfield next season.
The only problem to this transfer is that Sporting are demanding £70m for the services of the Portuguese star and both Manchester United and Tottenham are unwilling to go upward of £50m for the 24-year-old.
Bruno’s agent, Miguel Pinho, has already made it clear to Sporting CP that his client is interested in a move to the Premier League and his visit to London this week should bring an end to this saga, once and for all.
