Manchester United fans are still split over Wilfred Zaha’s potential return to Old Trafford as the rumours picked up pace last week.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is lining up a major restructuring job the club and Zaha is one of the most prominent names linked with a return to the club.

Louis Van Gaal sold Zaha back in 2015 to Crystal Palace following a difficult spell in Manchester.

However, The 26-year-old has turned the tides since.

Zaha has had a hand in 63 goals in 145 appearances for the Eagles since making the switch to the Selhurst Park.

Given the current scheme of things at Old Trafford it comes as no surprise that the Red Devils have returned for the Ivorian as the summer transfer window fast approaches.

However, his services will come at a premium as Crystal Palace chairman as vouched that the Eagles will not succumb to the demands of the players or their suitors.

“Wilf wants to play Champions League football — so we’ve got that in common, haven’t we? joked Parish to The Sun.

“There is a perception with Palace that people can just come along and pay less than market value for our players. That just isn’t going to happen.”

“At the same time, I know you can get boxed into a corner over these things — but he (Zaha) is on a long contract.” He further went on to add.

Taking the Ivorian’s quality and the cost into consideration, United fans seem to be bitterly divided over whether to make a move for Zaha.

In a poll conducted by Manchester Evening News, 56% of United fans out of the 6,080 who voted want the club to re-sign Zaha whereas 44% have warned the club against it.

There were some interesting comments too, with one fan wanting Zaha only if they fail to land Sancho “I voted yes but only if we cannot get Sancho. No way is Wilfried worth £80m,” he said, “Depends on the price. £40m-£50m sure. The price Crystal Palace are asking? Not in a million years.” another went on to add.
