The latest reports are saying that Juventus chief has flown to London over the possibility of re-signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United and are even ready to offer a player, preferably Joao Cancelo, in the deal.
Manchester United understands that the Frenchman would prefer a move away from the Old Trafford, although, Ed Woodward wants to keep the world-cup winner at all cost.
However, if push comes to shove, Manchester United are looking to spend the cash from potential Pogba transfer on another French midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele.
The Lyon Midfielder, as you are already aware, has been one of the best players in the Ligue 1 for the past couple of seasons.
The departure of Ander Herrera and potentially Paul Pogba means that the Red Devils are in the need of a couple of world-class midfielders.
Although he won’t come cheap, Ndombele has the potential to become as good as, maybe even better, than our 26-year-old World-cup winner.
Still only 22, Ndombele is being courted by big European clubs, including PSG, and Ed Woodward would do well if he can pull of this transfer, although, we wouldn’t be holding our breath on that possibility.
