Manchester United still need someone to play as a proper right-winger as none of the current players, including Daniel James or Mason Greenwood, prefer to play at the position. Despite the fact that the Red Devils duo have played really well down the right, Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign a specialist to strengthen his team further.

None of the players who were signed in the recent history we able to call this position as their own, with the proven players like Angel Di Maria, Memphis Depay and Alexis Sanchez all toiling when deployed there.

This season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has employed a different strategy and has rotated between James and Greenwood, and it has paid well for the gaffer up till now. James got 17 straight starts which ended on the Boxing day with Greenwood taking his place against Newcastle.

With Greenwood scoring a spectacular goal, the 18-year-old has taken his tally of goals to eight for the campaign. The Manchester News are of the opinion that Manchester United are in pursuit of the proper right-winger nonetheless.

And that’s because neither James or Greenwood would like to play on the right permanently going forward.

Jadon Sancho is said to be of interest to the Red Devils. Solskjaer was eyeing a deal for the Borussia Dortmund star back in the summer, adamant he must be signed.

However, Man United’s failure to finish in the Premier League top four saw the Red Devils go for James instead.
