Manchester United are willing to move on Romelu Lukaku in the summer after the Belgian was deemed unfit to start regularly in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tactics and formations.
Romelu Lukaku has already talked about his “dream” to play in the Serie A and how much he would love to experience a new culture etc. etc.
And it seems like United won’t stand in Lukaku’s way and have even identified a replacement for the Big Belgian if he leaves in the summer.
Ed Woodward and co. are looking to sign Lille Striker Nicolas Pepe as a replacement of Lukaku in the Summer transfer window.
Ivory Coast Striker Nicolas Pepe is having a brilliant season at Lille after scoring 20 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 matches this season. Pepe is valued at £60m and Lille Chairman has already admitted defeat in a bid to keep the free-scoring Striker beyond this summer:
Lopez said: “It is certain, he will leave. He has moved into a price range that we can not afford anymore. There is a career choice to make for him, I think he will have the choice.”
Clubs like Arsenal, Wolves and Chelsea are already circling around Pepe which could result in a bidding war in the summer. Do you think Pepe would be an ideal replacement for Lukaku?
