Bruno Fernandes is one of the hottest properties in world football right now as he is being courted by most of the top clubs across Europe, including both the clubs in Manchester.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be a big admirer of the Midfielder who scored 27 goals and provided 13 assists in the Primiera League last season from the Central Midfield.

That staggering number has also caught the eye of Pep Guardiola who is a fan of Bruno’s slick style of play and wants him as a long term successor to David Silva at Manchester City.

Manchester United have already made an opening bid for the Midfielder which was subsequently rejected by the Portuguese Club.

But, the Red Devils have returned with another bid of £58m with another £13.3m in performance-based add-ons.

Ed Woodward and co. are still waiting for a response from the Portuguese Club, but it’s been suggested that Sporting Lisbon are set to reject that bid too as they are holding onto at least £80m for their star midfield player.

With Manchester City in the mix as well, Sporting knows that they can squeeze out astronomical amount of money for Bruno Fernandes and that’s what they are after.

Would Ed Woodward be willing to pay the asking price for the 24-year-old still remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, the Manchester United fans have made their feelings known about the player.

  1. 80 million is far to high for a potential top prospect. Sure he’s gifted and been prolific for sporting Lisbon but look at the quality of that League, the premier League us a different beast and I’m sick of us spending high amounts on potential pitfalls , Fred springs to mind. I’d rather spend money on a proven talent that’s played premier League football , someone like a Damien rice for example , I know he’s not going anywhere but that type of player .

I know mate, Damien Rice is one of my favorite artist too and I would love for him to join United at some capacity 😀
On a serious note though, I know you mean Declan Rice here and he’s a good talent with even greater potential and has experience in the Premier League btut I guess Bruno and Declan are different kind of players. Declan Rice could be a better version of Nemanja Matic while Bruno Fernandes could be a David Silva for us, granted, we can use him in that way
