Wayne Rooney has stated that Manchester United players need ‘to fear’ Solskjaer on the off chance if he is to be a success at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian took over the reins of the club back in December and oversaw a meteoric rise in fortunes of the club.
He won 14 out of 19 games including overturning a two-goal deficit away at Paris Saint Germain in the round of 16.
Things have turned sour since,
United finished the season at the sixth spot, winning only two out of their 12 games topped off with an embarrassing final day defeat at home to Cardiff City.
The scenario’s turned south quickly as French star Paul Pogba was seen taking abuse from a section of Man United supporters at the Stretford End.

Despite being United’s top scorer this season, Pogba has been scrutinised over and over for his work ethic and most notably his notorious use of Social Media.
Manchester United Hero Wayne Rooney has taken a liking to such actions.
‘These players almost always like to find someone to hide behind, whether that is on their social media or on the football pitch and that’s what they are doing,’ he told the Metro
‘When fans speak up on it and say ‘why are you posting that?’ they always have the marketing people to blame – take responsibility. They work for you. I have people who do similar stuff for me and they never do anything without my instructions
‘The way the game has gone has changed, society has changed. You’ve got social media. You have got players losing a game and posting something on social media about their new clothing range, aftershave, whatever they’re bringing out, which I find remarkable.
‘I think the players need to fear someone. They need to fear Solskjaer (Ole Gunnar). They need to fear Michael Carrick. They need to respect them but fear them also.’
