As we had covered this piece before, David De Gea’s Manchester United future continues to be a big doubt.

The Spaniard is yet to sign a contract extension and will have just one year left on his Man United contract after the end of this season.

The rumours circulating around in the media is that De Gea wants the new contract to be worth at least 350k a week. And now Manchester United have revealed their stance on the matter.

According to Manchester Evening News:

“Manchester United are prepared to continue talks with David de Gea over a new long-term contract beyond the summer transfer window.”

De Gea joined United for £18.9million from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has been one of the best shot-stoppers in the world for the past few seasons.

Now 28 years of age, this could be the last big contract of De Gea’s career and the Goalkeeper wants to cash in big.

Only time will tell what happens next but this one is sure to be the flavour of the summer!
