Manchester United have made a formal £40.5m bid for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to the latest reports published in the Goal.
Manchester United currently have the options of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford upfront.
However, with Marcus Rashford replacing the Belgian as the first choice Striker under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Romelu Lukaku is looking to move away this summer, preferably to Serie A, with Inter Milan interested in his services.
Ed Woodward is looking to cash in at least 50-60 Million Pounds on the Belgian with the United’s executive vice-chairman set to meet with Federico Pastorello (Lukaku’s agent) if the reports are to be believed.
And now, Manchester United are looking to bring in Lyon’s Moussa Dembele after tabling an offer worth £40.5m for the Frenchman.
The former Celtic Striker has had a wonderful season in the Ligue 1 having netted 15 goals and providing 4 assists in the campaign.
The 22-year-old came through Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy but the young Striker made his name at Celtic in Scotland where he rose to fame after scoring 51 goals in 94 games before falling out with then manager Brendan Rodgers.
Blessed with incredible pace and finishing, Manchester United have clearly been impressed with Moussa Dembele’s performance. A bid around of £35m has been tabled by the Red Devils which should rise to £40.5m.
Do you think Moussa Dembele is a good replacement for Romelu Lukaku? Or would you want someone like Mason Greenwood to to replace the outgoing Belgian?
