The latest Manchester United transfer news comprises of updates on Matthijs De Ligt, Bruno Fernandes and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Bruno Fernandes:

Manchester United have received a massive boost in their pursuit of the Portuguese as his parent club Sporting Lisbon are now closing in on a deal for his replacement.

The Primera Liga giants are eyeing Palmera playmaker Aleksandar Trajkovski as a replacement for the departing 24-year-old according to SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

Matthijs De Ligt:

Manchester United have been re-offered the chance to sign Matthijs De Ligt by his agent Mino Raiola according to football consultant Ian McGarry.

“Manchester United have certainly shown a great interest in [De Ligt],” he said on the Transfer Window Podcast.

“But are understandably cynical about the fact Mino Raiola is his agent and Raiola has caused them problems already with Paul Pogba throughout his time at Old Trafford.

Club’s looking to sign De Ligt are reluctant to pay Mino Raiola’s hefty commision to broker a deal says Ian McGarry

“I was told last weekend that Raiola had again come back to Ed Woodward to offer De Ligt and that the problems in terms of De Ligt actually securing a move out of Ajax is not the fee that Ajax were asking, which is similar to the €75m [£67m] they secured from Frenkie de Jong at Barcelona, but of course Mino’s commission – which is coming in at around €10.5m [£9m] net.

“Usually a commission on any transfer deal for an agent is between six and 7.5 per cent.

“10 per cent usually is the maximum a club will pay, but with Raiola, he always asks for more as he did with Pogba.

“I think that’s been the problem, because so far Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United have shown willingness to at least pay the fee to Ajax, but not the commission to Raiola.”

Sergej Milinkovic Savic:

Manchester are readying a £72m bid to sign their long-term target Sergej Milinkovic Savic from Lazio.

The Red Devils are ready to go all-in for the Serbian midfielder according to reports in Sky Italia.

Milinkovic-Savic is eager to join United but he won’t force the issue at Lazio says the aforementioned report.

One again Raiola is causing problems. He has done it with persuading Pogba to leave. Now he is doing it with his greed over De Ligt. When Sir Alex called him a fat leach it was appropriate.
