Manchester United are close to agreeing three transfer deals in the summer transfer window, according to the latest reports in the Sky Sports.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to revamp his squad ahead of the next season and according to the Sky Sports reporter Julian Warren, Alexis Sanchez may not be part of the new look United:
“We understand that Juventus and Inter Milan are both interested in signing Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez this summer,” Warren explained.
“Our colleagues in Italy are saying Sanchez’ representative Fernando Felicevich has met with both the Juve sporting director and Inter’s technical director.”
Most of the Manchester United fans can’t wait to see the back of the Chilean who has been an absolute flop at the Old Trafford.
The only stumbling block in his transfer could be the massive salary he earns (steals?) here, but reports say that Manchester United are ready to pay part of his wages just to get him off the books.
Meanwhile, there were lot of chatters about the Swansea City winger Daniel James to the Old Trafford. Julian Warren has provided update on that too:
“United are close to agreeing a £15million deal with Swansea for their young winger Daniel James,” he said.
Talking about young and homegrown talent, the third name mentioned in the list is that of Sean Longstaff.
The 21-year-old has been very impressive for Newcastle United under Rafa Benitez and is already tipped for a bright future. As per Warren:
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on recruiting young, homegrown talent during the summer window and we’ve been told he’s interested in Newcastle’s 21-year-old midfielder Sean Longstaff.
“Longstaff signed a new contract at St James’ Park in November. That runs until 2022.”
It’s still all chatters and rumours but the thing to take in account is that we are being linked to young and homegrown talents instead of the big Stars. Maybe there’s a pattern developing here?
