Manchester United win Premier League award despite poor season

Manchester United might have had an awful campaign, but the Red Devils were still able to land a Premier League award at the end of the season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men had a disappointing end to the season where we lost at home to Cardiff eventually finishing at sixth which is over 30 points behind the champions Manchester City.

The players were awful, the performances were sub-standard but hey, you would be glad to know that at least someone at the Old Trafford was doing his work diligently!

As per the latest reports, Manchester United have won the award for Premier League Grounds Team of the Season.

Despite our issues on the pitch, our grounds manager Tony Sinclair did a splendid job in maintaining the standard of the Old Trafford pitch just for our players to step on it and disappoint us yet again.

As per Tony:

“It’s unbelievable.

“It’s something we are immensely proud of as a team.

“The condition of the pitch in the last four, five, six years, has come on tremendously.

“It’s a great achievement for the team of staff. That’s first and foremost.

“I always make sure I acknowledge the staff we have because you need a good team behind you. I have definitely got that.”

“From the training ground to the stadium, we have 23 natural pitches and five synthetic pitches to look after,” Sinclair added.

“They all need to be renovated and prepared for 1 July and pre-season training, and then we have the stadium pitch itself to work on for the first match in August.

“It never stops. If anything, the constant challenge we have, to make sure the pitches are right, gets harder during the summer.”

While it may not mean much to a Football fan, we can only wonder if the players had worked half as hard as the Groundsmen, we would have fared much better in the Premier League table.

Still, we congratulate Tony Sinclair and his team for their brilliant work on the ground. Hopefully, our players take a bit of inspiration from this. They definitely need it!

In other news, Manchester United are close to complete triple signing.
