Sadio Mane believes that Liverpool will prove to be the better side and will win the finals of Champions League beating Tottenham in Madrid on June 1.
Jurgen Klopp’s side is desperate for a trophy after missing out by a point to Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
Mane thinks that last year’s 3-1 final defeat in Kiev, which was really heartbreaking for the team and nearly missing the title, will prove to be a motivation factor for Liverpool to end their silverware hunt under Klopp.
The Senegalese international who won the Golden Boot-winner said Liverpool are determined to win the European Cup this time, said: “We’re not here to think twice about it.”
“We have some experience about it, and we know how it is because we were there last year and were unlucky we didn’t win, although Real (Madrid) were very good,” said Mane, speaking to liverpoolfc.com
“We are feeling really, really positive, and for us, it would be a big, big thing (to win it).
“Tottenham and ourselves are both really young, but we both have lots of experience and have played every kind of game. It is exciting, and we want to win it, for sure – everybody knows.
Mane said a Champions League triumph would bring joy and glory to the club and the fans after missing the Premier League title.
Liverpool has emerged as one of the teams in Europe with best attack and defence and the German coach has been applauded for his philosophy.
