Manchester United Star Marcos Rojo has admitted that he would like to leave the Red Devils this summer, according to the reports.

Signed from Sporting in 2014 for €20 million (£16 million), the Argentine had then stated that it was a “dream come true” to start for the Red Devils.

However, Rojo’s time at the Old Trafford has been marred with consistent injury problems that has seen him drop to the medical room for the best part of his time at Manchester.

The 29-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a first choice under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it is widely expected that Rojo will be the part of Ole’s massive summer clear out.

In fact, Manchester United gave the defender ‘special permission’ to train with his former side in March in order to build up his fitness ahead of the Copa America tournament in the summer.

Marcos Rojo has talked about his wish to return to his first professional club in an interview. He said:

“I would like to play at Estudiantes again.”

With Manchester United set to sign a Center-Back this summer (also a possible recall for Axel Tuanzebe who performed impressively for Aston Villa), the likes of Marcos Rojo and even Eric Bailly could be moved on to make way.

Marcos Rojo, who was left out of the 23 man Copa America squad, would be hoping to force his way in the side with some regular minutes on the pitch.

Meanwhile, in other news, Manchester United still have the chance to pull off Matthijs De Ligt transfer.
