Marcus Rashford: “I want to get back to how Manchester United play”

Manchester United Striker Marcus Rashford has sent a message to the Red Devils fans over “getting back to how Manchester United play.”

The 21-year-old Star had a slow start to the season under Jose Mourinho as he was deployed on the wings with Romelu Lukaku leading the line.

However, the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer meant that the Englishman was consistently preferred to lead the line over the Big Belgian.

Rashford made a good start to life under Solskjaer, scoring goals and providing valuable contribution to the side.

But the last 2 months, shortly after the epic win against PSG, the young academy star started suffering from an ankle issue which hampered his form in front of the goal.

Now, with the season done, Marcus Rashford has sent a message to the Reds faithful on the Twitter saying:

“Next season we need to get back to how @manchesterunited play, for me that’s most important.

Marcus Rashford ended this Premier League campaign with 10 goals and 6 assists to his name which is quite satisfactory numbers for a 21-year-old.

However, the expectations of the fans and enormous amounts of talents and capability in the young star means that the season was still considered to be an underwhelming one by his standards.

With Romelu Lukaku set to make an exit from the Old Trafford in the summer, Rashford would be the first choice No.9 for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer next season.

Hopefully, the 21-year-old can live up to his potential and help us in “getting back to how Manchester United play.”
