Crystal Palace have played 16 and won only four of these at home. There record in the last five matches is also that of WLWLW.
Palace have the tall task of holding Man City to a loss or draw. Liverpool play Chelsea later on the same day and if City can’t keep up the pace, Liverpool can scoot away to the title with ease.
Mark Lawrenson, known for his football predictions since retiring as a footballer for Liverpool has chipped in with a fresh take of the fixture in London.
“Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola cannot have been happy with the way his side played in their Champions League defeat by Tottenham on Tuesday, and I am expecting a reaction here,” he said.
“Palace are safe – or as good as safe – after their win at Newcastle last week and, with only four wins from 16 games at Selhurst Park, their home record this season is not exactly impressive.
“Palace almost got the better of City at Selhurst Park last season, when Ederson saved a last-minute penalty, but I can’t see them getting close to Pep Guardiola’s side this time.”
