Manchester United have decided to let United States international, Matthew Olosunde, walk out on a free in the summer, according to the reports.
James Wilson, who was once touted as the next big star at the Old Trafford, has already been refused a new contract as he walks out on a free.
And now, it’s Matthew Olosunde’s turn to be refused a new deal as the 21-year-old searches for a club in Europe instead of going back to the United States.
Matthew Olosunde was a highly regarded defender, especially by the Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, who even included him in his match day squads as a Right-Back during his first season at the Old Trafford.
At that point, it was believed that Matthew Olosunde could be the next break-out academy star but things didn’t quite work out for the US International as his potential Man United career drifted away into the oblivion.
Still just 21 years of age, Matthew Olosunde has plenty of time to join a club, resurrect his career and justify the talent and potential that he has been blessed with.
Sadly, that won’t be happening at the Old Trafford!
Do you think it’s a wise decision to let go Matthew Olosunde? Or would you have kept him and given him the opportunities at the Right Back, especially after the departure of Antonio Valencia?
