Liverpool had reportedly attempted to sign Kylian Mbappe before he made his big money move to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Jurgen Klopp and were unable to convince him to move to Anfield somehow.

Since joining Paris Saint Germain in August 2017, the Mbappe has gone on to become one of the most valued players in the world of football.

At the age of 20, Mbappe has already has three Ligue 1 titles and the World Cup to his name.

Mbappe recently spoke about his future after winning the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award this season and indicated he could consider a move away.

“This is a very important moment for me; I am arriving at maybe the first or second turning point in my career,” said the Frenchman.

“I have learned so much here, and I feel it’s maybe the time to have more responsibility. Maybe
at PSG, that would give me great pleasure, or maybe elsewhere for a new project.”

Meanwhile, there are rumours of him going for a big money move to Real Madrid this summer.

According to the Telegraph, Mbappe preferred the move to Paris over Merseyside in 2017, but Liverpool could have been the club for him to enhance his skills from a footballing perspective.

PSG will be confident enough to retain a player like Mbappe but the club having failed to progress in the Champions league on previous occasions which may be a factor which could go against them.
