Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed the Blues for edge past West Ham when the two sides take part in a London Derby on Monday.

“Chelsea followed up their late win at Cardiff with a resounding 3-0 home win over Brighton on Wednesday and will be hoping to make it a quick double when they host West Ham,” wrote Owen for his BetVictor predictions.

“Victory is looking essential to keep their top four hopes alive and with only one defeat on home soil in the PL this term they have made Stamford Bridge quite a fortress.

“The Hammers have taken just one point from a possible last eighteen on the road and despite plenty of attacking flair are highly unlikely to add to that tally here.”

Three points are of utmost importance for the Blues as they look to get into the Champions League spots for next season.
