“Much better than Longstaff” – Man United fans react to Mario Lemina links

Manchester United fans have reacted on Twitter to the recent links to Southampton Midfielder Mario Lemina who could be available for £18m.

The Red Devils are in the hunt for a Central Midfielder after the departure of Ander Herrera in the summer (and Marouane Fellaini in January).

Moreover, Paul Pogba’s United future still hasn’t been sorted yet with the Frenchman looking for a passage out of the Old Trafford after the latest comments from his agent Mino Raiola.

Meanwhile, United are looking at Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff as a possible option in the midfield, which, obviously, the United fans aren’t overly excited about!

But, if the latest reports are to be believed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward have shifted their attention to Southampton’s 25-year-old Midfielder Mario Lemina.

The former Juventus midfielder was once regarded as one of the most exciting up and coming players in the world. However, thanks to his injury troubles, Lemina’s career has stalled over the last few years.

Meanwhile, Southampton are not against the idea of letting their midfielder leave, if they are able to recoup the £18m they initially spent on Lemina.

Manchester United obviously have no problem spending £18m on Lemina after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer identified him as a possible replacement for Ander Herrera. But what about the United fans? What do they think of this transfer?

Well, we have rounded up a few tweets below as the United fans react to this latest news:

Arsenal have also shown an interest in the services of the 25-year-old former Juventus midfielder, but no one cares about them anymore so…

Do you think Mario Lemina would be a good signing for Manchester United, especially given the fact that he could be available on a cheap for £18m compared to the ‘supposedly’ £50m we would have to splash on Sean Longstaff?
