Napoli Centre back Kalidou Koulibaly has been linked to Manchester United since the time immemorial.
The Senegalese star has established himself as one of the best centre backs in the world for the past few years and United have, subsequently, tried to prise him away from Napoli, but to no avail.
Now, with United looking to rebuild this summer, OGS is looking for a partner to Victor Lindelof in the heart of our defence. Obviously, Raphael Varane and Kalidou Koulibaly have been linked yet again.
But according to Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti, Koulibaly to United could yet remain a dream:
Ancelotti told reporters: “The best centre-back in the world? Yes. And he has more room for improvement. He’s worth €150 million and he is non-transferable.
“Koulibaly’s contract will expire in 2023. In 2021 he will have a €150 million release clause, but Napoli do not need to sell, the president does not want to sell and the question does not arise.”
Hey, here goes another season where we fail to sign the Senegalese tank. Better we put our focus on someone else then, eh?
