Tottenham Hotspur reached the Champions League final this past season. The completion of the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium is also going to give the club some breathing space in the transfer market. One outcome of reaching the first UCL final in the history of the club is the improved profile of thee club.
Ndombele has been attracted by Spurs. The French midfielder thinks that Tottenham being fourth in the league and reaching the final definitely puts them in league with the biggest clubs in Europe and any player would be happy to play for such a club.
Ndombele will cost £66m but Pochettino is keen on the midfielder
“They are a big club like many others. Which player would not be interested in a big club?”

There are reports that Lyon want £66 million for the France international. Ndombele is an exceptional midfield talent who can dribble past opponents, create scoring opportunity for team-mates and pass exceptionally well. His characteristics will help fill gaps in the squad existing since the sale of Mousa Dembele to a Chinese club.
Pocheettino is said to have told the club management about his conviction in Ndombele. However, Daniel Levy thinks Tanguy Ndombele should be valued around £45m. It would be interesting to see a negotiation proceed between Daniel Levy and Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, both of whom are known as hard bargainers.
In this case both the player and the club have confirmed their interest in each other. All that remains is for Tottenham to convince the French team to sell. Michel Aulas previously said he had an agreement with Fekir to leave the club but Ndombele didn’t get the promise. With four years remaining on Ndombele’s contract, the ball is certainly in Lyon’s court.
