The list of big name Goalkeepers in the Premier League is bigger than ever this season. City got Ederson from Brazil before Liverpool paid a world record fee for Alisson Becker.

Chelsea eclipsed Liverpool’s fee and made Kepa the most expensive goalkeeper in the world shortly after. David De Gea may not have had the best of seasons since returning from the World Cup but he has solid hands.

Neville, a United legend himself was recently tasked with selecting who he thinks the goalkeeper of the season is. Liverpool fans will not be shocked to know that he didn’t pick Alisson as his choice. But neither did he choose David De Gea, as the Spaniard has been too out of touch.

His choice is Ederson. Almost a Premier League champion.

‘There’s one goalkeeper at one end [De Gea] who is a great goalkeeper who’s struggling,’
‘And there’s one goalkeeper [Ederson] at the other end who, for me, is the goalkeeper of the season in this league. ‘He’s been absolutely outstanding. He’s so quick off his line.’
