Unai Emery faces an uphill task to mould the Arsenal squad for the next two years, and there may be only two players which he would like to keep on.
This is the opinion of the Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville.
“Arsenal’s defeat earlier on was just typical of them,” Neville said on his Sky Sports Podcast.
“The Watford game, which they did win a few weeks ago… they struggled with that, and Deeney was sent off after 20 minutes. And they really did struggle.”
“I have to say, every time I look at the Arsenal team I think: ‘How many players, really, would Unai Emery like to be at the club in two years?’” Neville added.
“If he’s going to be at the club in three of four years, how many of those players that started the game today would he think: ‘I want them with me in my third or fourth season.’
“And I’m sure Arsenal will give Unai Emery that time. It really is a squad that looks devoid of balance, of real quality and strength.

The Gunners have lost the grip hopes for the top four aspirations by losing four of last five league games.
