Despite losing the Premier League title race just by one point, Liverpool had an outstanding season.
The Reds finished on the second place with 95 points winning 30 games, drawing seven and losing one.
Neymar’s had predicted that City would finish at top finish top followed by Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs while there is no place for Liverpool – and Arsenal – apparently.
“It’s very hard, it’s very tough,” said the Brazilian, “but Manchester City will win it. Second will be United; third is Chelsea, fourth is Tottenham.”
The Brazilian star could have been more wrong in the end, as Liverpool finished in the second spot overcoming all the clubs and United – who had a pathetic awful season finished sixth.
Liverpool had very at par this season with kind of philosophy Jurgen Klopp had brought with him and the players and got adopted to it.
The former Dortmund coach has proven himself at the Anfield as one of the best tacticians of the last ten years, while Liverpool’s best starting XI is filled with world-class talent.
There has been a rise in the performance of the players as Klopp has instilled a kind of confidence and the never-dying spirit in them.
