Nigerian goal-keeper Arthur Okonkwo was called upon by the Arsenal team management to train with Arsenal’s first team ahead of their evening clash with Newcastle at the Emirates stadium.

On Sunday, Okonkwo attended the final training session along with the team; however, there are bleak chances of him being a part of the playing squad as Bernd Leno and Petr Cech are ahead of him for the final selection.

The shot-stopper raised the eyebrows while playing for the Arsenal U23 on Friday which resulted in a 1-0 win against West Ham United.

He was among the three Nigerian players that travelled with the Gunners first team for an international break in Dubai.
