Daniel James has completed his medical at Manchester United on Thursday, Sky Sports have officially confirmed.
The Daniel James to Man United saga has been a long running one with the personal terms already sorted out a few weeks ago but the deal still hung in the balance, thanks to the transfer fee negotiations.
The Wales winger, who almost completed a move to Leeds United in January of this year for £8m, will now don on the famous Red shirt at the Old Trafford in a move that cost us £18m.
The 21-year-old had his medicals at the Carrington on Thursday morning before he was taken by the United security staff to the Liverpool airport as he returned to the Wales squad for the European Qualifiers against Croatia (Saturday) and Hungary (Tuesday).
IS HE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?
That’s the question on Red Devils fans lips. The 21-year-old is still relatively young and in-experienced but he’s got an incredible pace that he can exploit on the wings.
According to Sky Sports’ EFL expert David Prutton:
“Is he good enough for the current incarnation of Man United? I don’t see why not.
“Why not get someone in who is rapid and confident and has the exuberance of youth to put the cat among the pigeons? They need something to liven them up, so why not give him the chance?
“He can go in there fearless, not to the point where he is careless, but so he can express himself. He has been well coached under Graham Potter at Swansea and now is the chance to show what he can do on a bigger stage.
“He has the kind of electric pace that is reminiscent of United wingers of yesteryear. It will be fascinating to see what happens for him there.”
