Manchester United women team have announced the latest signing of the Goalkeeper Mary Earps for the next Women’s Super League championship.
Manchester United women team marched in the Championship in their debut campaign last season and have already completed 4 signings for the next campaign including Netherlands midfielder Jackie Groenen, England defender Abbie McManus, Birmingham City Defender/Midfielder Hayley Ladd and Scotland striker Jane Ross.
And now, the 26-year-old Mary Earps will move to Manchester from German side Wolfsburg, where she spent a year after 2 seasons at Reading, as our 5th signing of the season.
Earps was also a member of the Three Lioness squad and has spent time at various clubs including Bristol and Birmingham.
And the goalkeeper was obviously psyched on joining the Red Devils and here’s what she had to say after signing the contract:
“I’m delighted to have signed for Manchester United,” Earps said.
“Something special is happening at the club and I’m excited to become a part of that.
“I feel like this is the perfect place for me to reach the next level in my career – I can’t wait to get started.”
Manchester United women manager Casey Stoney was ecstatic at the arrival of the Goalkeepr Mary Earps and she’s already looking forward to the next season:
“Mary is a great addition to the team and will strengthen our goalkeeping department as we look to push on this season in the WSL; we are all looking forward to working with her,” Stoney said about United’s latest addition.
