Reports linking Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland just keeps gaining momentum. According to Norwegian newspaper VG, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, flew on Friday to meet with the forward’s representatives in Austria.
Haaland’s father Alf-Inge Haaland was said to be one of the representatives to have met the gaffer. The report went on to claim that Solskjaer was absent from Man United training on Friday while he tried to help tie up a deal.
Before returning to England, The Norwegian manager is believed to have spent most of his day trying to convince entourage of Haaland that he should join the Old Trafford outfit.
Haaland gives Solskjaer a lot of credit for helping his club career get off and running when he managed the high flying star at Molde in his homeland.
Now, when the winter transfer window open in January, Ole is said to be keen on a reunion with the striker at Old Trafford.
It’s thought that the United boss is looking to step up the club’s advances on the 19-year-old following strong competition from Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted earlier this week that he met with Haaland in Germany to discuss a potential switch from Salzburg.
