Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told to sell 11 Man United player in the summer window

There’s no doubt that Manchester United need a squad overhaul this summer transfer window with a lot of incomings and outgoings expected at the Old Trafford.

However, former Chelsea Striker and BT Sports pundit Chris Sutton has taken it up a notch by saying that Man United need to sell 11 players in the window.

Take a look:

“Manchester United need an overhaul this summer.

“To think that four of the back five who started against Barcelona also started against Basle in 2011, when they were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage, is remarkable.

The 44-year-old has backed David De Gea at United after his mistake cost us the second goal against Barcelona last night:

“David de Gea was one of those but he should stay this summer. Yes, his mistake against Lionel Messi was embarrassing, but you have to look at the big picture. He’s top quality.

“There aren’t many in the world who can do a better job than him between the sticks.

Chris, however, wasn’t too friendly on Ashley Young:

“Ashley Young, on the other hand, should go. I admire his career and how he proved himself at Aston Villa before joining United, but that’s not the point.

“He is just not United material any more. In midfield, there has been talk of Paul Pogba being sold this summer.

“Really? United are far better with him in the team than out of it. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be building his team around the Frenchman.

“United should sell Fred, though. He hasn’t shown enough. Up front, get rid of Alexis Sanchez.

“Sometimes, it just doesn’t work out for players and it would take some turnaround to make his time at United a success now.”

The other players who Sutton doesn’t want to see at United anymore are Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, Juan Mata, Andreas Pereira, Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera.

What do you think of Chris Sutton’s statement? Does he have a point?
