Crystal Palace have rejected Man Utd’s £50m bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka because the Eagles want the money upfront instead of ‘add-ons’.
The Red Devils are clearly in the hunt for a right-back with Wan-Bissaka confirmed as the first choice for the spot by various news outlets in the recent weeks.
While the London Club have been demanding a cool £60m for the services of the 21-year-old from Ed Woodward and co., there were hopes that both the clubs could negotiate a price in the region of £50m for the Englishman.
The Eagles star has already revealed of his wish to join the Old Trafford outfit in this summer transfer window while Crystal Palace has vowed not to stand in his way if the price offered for him is right.
Man Utd, meanwhile, made a £50m bid for the Englishman which was subsequently rejected by Crystal Palace because it only promised £35m up front, while the £15m was promised as an additional ‘add-ons’ depending on the club’s success in the near future.
Crystal Palace are reportedly afraid that they would be unable to receive a big chunk of the ‘add-ons’ as they doubt our success in the near future, which is a bit of an embarrassment, if these rumors are true.
The Roy Hodgson’s side are rather demanding a fee upwards of £45m in lump sum plus a few ‘add-ons’ for this transfer to go through.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is currently with England’s U21s side for the European Championship tournament and he isn’t expected to leave the camp for completing the transfer.
