Paul Pogba’s much-anticipated move to Real Madrid could be put off because of the Frenchman’s high wage demands according to Spanish outlet AS.

The world cup winner earns in upwards of €15m a year which the Los Blancos are said to be reluctant to pay as they fear to disturb the current salary hierarchy at the club.

Not only the wages but the transfer fee would be astronomical too as Manchester United will flex all their financial muscle to keep hold of their prized asset.

Pogba’s compatriot Zidane is said to be an admirer of the 26-year-old and wants him under his tutelage at the Bernabeu to replace the ageing Luka Modric.
