Paulo Dybala makes contract demand from Man United

Paulo Dybala is holding up the Dybala-Lukaku swap deal because he doesn’t want to accept a 25 percent cut clause in his contract at Man United.

As we had reported earlier, Juventus director had arrived in London to complete the swap deal involving Dybala and Lukaku.

It’s being reported that Romelu Lukaku would love to join the Turin based club, however, Paulo Dybala still has some contractual issues that need to be sorted before the transfer can be finalized.

All of the Man United players have a clause in their contract which states that there will be a 25 percent cut in their salary if the Club fails to qualify for the Champions League.

As the club finished in the sixth position last season, all of the United players’ salary was cut down by 25 percent, including Paul Pogba.

However, as per the reports, Paulo Dybala wants to be exempt from that clause in order to go through with the transfer which has resulted in delays in the negotiations.

As per the journalist Tancredi Palmieri:

The reports further add that Paulo Dybala wants a raise in his salary and demanded a contract worth £9.1m a year which is significantly more than what he earns at Juventus.

With just a week left in the summer transfer market, Man United are hoping to come to a middle ground with Dybala and his agent as soon as possible and go through with this deal before the start of the next season.

Meanwhile, after being dethroned from the first team spot by Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku wants nothing more than a transfer away from the club, whether it is Inter Milan or Juventus, where he has been promised a starting spot and a raise in his salary.

Hopefully, this deal can be concluded soon for everyone’s sake!
