We recently reported on a news story from Duncan Castles about why Juventus had to choose Maurizio Sarri. The reason was that Tottenham’s manager Pochettino has probably decided his time at Spurs isn’t over yet. That there’s a next chapter to begin at the London club for the Argentine manager. But Pochettino’s conditions have not been fulfilled by Spurs in the last two transfer windows. Needless to say, as long as things remain uncertain a lot of rumours will link him to every big club in Europe.
Pochettino’s conditions must be met if Daniel Levy wants him to Stay
However, the fact remains that Tottenham reached the Champions League final for the first time in the club’s history. Also, with a couple better players, Pochettino could have even won the game. But that is conjecture. Something much more clear is that Pochettino’s conditions need to be met if Daniel Levy wants his manager to stay.
Mauricio Pochettino minced no words when he said that he needs to know how the club plans to operate after this season. Spurs now have a brand new stadium and a team that is ready to fight for titles with minor tweaks. According to latest reports in the tabloids, Tottenham aren’t finding it very easy to convince the Argentine manager to stay.
Pochettino demands Madrid/Zidane like structure for Tottenham stay
The manager has apparently asked for a comprehensive control over Tottenham’s transfer dealings. Not just for the current transfer window (it opened May 16), but also for future transfer windows in the future. In essence, Pochettino demands that the club meets the ambitions he has for the club. If that can’t be promised he might leave, quiet like Zidane did at Real Madrid.
