Liverpool are in the second consecutive Champions League final, to be played on June 1. Last season, the Reds lost 3-1 in Kiev to the Real Madrid team captained by Sergio Ramos.
Real Madrid may have taken an early exit from the competition this season but will still hope to upset Liverpool. This will probably be attempted by one Sergio Ramos. In case you have a short memory, Ramos is the man who tangled a hand in Salah and brought him to the floor, injuring him with minutes played in the UCL final.
The way Liverpool dispatched Barcelona in the second leg, it seems that’s the only way Ramos and Madrid could have won last season’s final.
Davinson Sanchez, Tottenham’s Colombian defender is set to start in defence for the final. The player has already been watching inspirational Ramos videos to shore up his defensive abilities. He thinks that playing on the edge is better than focusing on the ball. Don’t believe us, read what he had to say:
“Watching DVDs, it was unbelievable the way [Ramos] defends. He has that character you need to play that position.
“Sometimes now, everyone is too focused on playing football. But sometimes the striker doesn’t care. You see Roberto Firmino. This guy. Crash. Block. Harry Kane as well. If he has to put his leg in, he will.

He also talks about Tottenham starting the final on the front foot and aggresively so. We’ll see how well Ramos has trained his new charge to spoil Liverpool’s party. Can they spoil Liverpool’s party?
