Tottenham Hotspur are on a roll this summer. They have already signed Jack Clarke and club record signing NDombele. Now, the club is on a hiatus as they look for likely sources of transfer funds. One revenue stream that has eluded Tottenham this summer is the money that can be made from player sales. Kieran Trippier, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld have all been linked with a move away but a transfer hasn’t materialized for any one of them.
Kieran Trippier may find a way out with Maurizio Sarri
If there’s one thing we know about Kieran Trippier it’s that he has been good in the past. Even as the player reaches the 30-year old mark in a couple of seasons, he still possesses the skills to play at the highest levels. Selling him when he’s still 28 will give the club some much needed money while he gets to move out of Spurs.
Trippier had said that he is aware of the club’s policy to sell players approaching 30. Maurizio Sarri must have heard it across London and may have now told this to Juventus. The Turin club maybe convinced by Sarri to bring the Englishman to Italy.
Italian Journalist says Sarri appreciates the right back
Maurizio Sarri was at Chelsea last season, where he studied Trippier as an opponent and grew to like him. That’s according to the Italian journalist Aurelio Capaldi. He thinks Sarri will ask Juventus to bring in the Spurs right back. The reason cited for this approach is that Maurizio Sarri wants an attacking full-back, and Trippier fits the bill.
“He’s very happy if the club manages to sign him.
“Sarri believes Juventus really needs offensive people on the sides and wants to make things happen.”
