Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie wants the Red Devils to sign Edinson Cavani during the upcoming summer transfer window. The news is that Cavani is no longer at Happy in Paris Saint-Germain and even put an up a transfer request to try and force the move.
Man United, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea were said to pursuing the striker, with the Spanish club reportedly being the destination of choice. No club agreed to pay what PSG wanted for the Uruguayan and he ended up staying at Parc des Princes.
Cavani is almost certain to leave in the summer, though, once his contract expires after June 30. Van Persie believes United should not waste any time in trying to sign the experienced frontman.
Asked during a Twitter Q&A who United should sign in the summer, Van Persie replied: “Edinson Cavani, brilliant player and available.”

Cavani, 32, is PSG’s all-time top goalscorer with 198 goals in 293 appearances, and he arrived in the French capital off the back of 104 goals in 138 Napoli appearances.
