Theo Walcott has been a failure since his move to Everton this summer.
The former Arsenal midfielder came in with a lot of expectations but has failed to deliver consistently with fans calling for the inclusion of Ademola Lookman in place of the 30-year-old.
However, our former boss Sam Allardyce seems to think otherwise.
“Is Lookman better than Theo Walcott? Well, not quite yet,” said Allardyce.
“He’s got great talent, but actually, when you look at his 90 minutes, there’s these flashes of very good skill, but not often enough.”
“He’s got to prove that he can deliver on a more regular basis, and I think Lookman will get in the team on a regular basis then,” he added.
I don’t usually agree with Big Sam but I think he is right here.
Theo Walcott hasn’t been the player we thought he could be, however, Lookman needs to do better and be more consistent if he’s to displace the Walcott on the wings.
