Maurizio Sarri has a big match coming up at Anfield. He will have lesser options to select players because he also has Europa League games on either side of Chelsea.
He had intended to rest Eden Hazard for the Blues game against Slavia Prague. However, a toothless first half showing meant he had to throw everything at it. Including Hazard.
When asked if Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi can play against Liverpool in the league match, he said this:
“Oh, I don’t know. But in my opinion he needed to rest. And so, in this match, he was out.
“But of course he is in my mind for the next match, but I have to see the last two training (sessions).”
Should the England international play, he’d be playing at Anfield where he is rumoured to be transferred in the future.
