Liverpool thumped Chelsea out of the game within two minutes in the second half. A header from Sadio Mane, assisted by Henderson was the first goal of the evening.
The second was a wonderful long range strike that looped inside the net and out of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s hands.
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sorry obviously is sad and sorry that Liverpool scored, twice. He thinks that Salah’s goal was a pleasant surprise for Liverpool fans, not so much for himself.
He is mostly praise and regret in his words. The praise is evident in his words:
“We played a good match against wonderful opponents. We stayed in the match for 50 minutes. After the second goal – a shocking goal in a good way for them but not for us – we reacted,” the former Napoli boss said.
“We had two or three opportunities to score but I think we played very well.”
