Tottenham have not made a signing since the arrival of Lucas Moura from PSG. The squad is in immediate need of reinforcements. In case Tottenham are quiet in yet another window, it would be akin to a slap on Pochettino’s face after he took Spurs to the UCL final.
Thankfully, most reports confirm Spurs’ intention to purchase players in this transfer window. The club has plans for spending over £100 million on new signings. Pochettino would therefore be well supported this summer and Spurs should continue their ascent to the upper echelons of Football.
Championship stars Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke the first targets for Tottenham
We are well aware of the Giovani Lo Celso transfer approach from Spurs. In addition, the London side are looking to the Championship in search of their next stars. In hindsight, Tottenham have had success with picking players from lower division teams (Dele Alli).
Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke of Fulham and Leeds United respectively are the two players being linked with a move to Tottenham. Both the players are England prospects and will fit on the left side of the pitch for Spurs.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been talking about the beginning of a new chapter at Tottenham. It may also mean the sale of some established players in order to make room for young blood. However, it is hard to imagine Pochettino accommodating two teenagers at once.
Should a sale be sanctioned, both Sessegnon and Jack Clarke could be at the White Hart Lane next season. Do you think they will be in the starting lineup upon signing? Perhaps not!
