It wasn’t too long ago that the pair of Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge were set to leave the Anfield after strings of poor performances.
Liverpool have been linked with the likes of Werner and Jovic in the past and it was reported Klopp would like to sell the pair to fund the signing of a Striker.
However, Jurgen Klopp has made a transfer u-turn in the past few days and it’s reported that the German has been impressed with the work ethic of Origi and would like to offer him a contract extension.
Liverpool fans have reacted to this latest story and their reactions are mixed:
Fully deserved…just to annoy Everton 🤪🤪 pic.twitter.com/VQiFOzJb9y

instead of buying werner and Fekir we offer new contract to a players who only shine for couple of minutes. offer new contract to moreno and sturridge too and keep lallana and ask why don't we win trophies

Don't understand this! Origi prob a good lad but end of day he just not good enough & when young Brewster fully fit he wont get a game next season esp if we sign another striker like Werner or another in summer

Versatility, work rate and he has a different skillset to our main attackers.

I have been impressed since he came back. He is a good squad player.

Love it, he’s got the attitude that you need for a title winning team, he might not start a game all of next season but he’ll lift team spirits in the changing room and at Melwood.

Be happy with this ! Love his attitude and he’s still improving and for the little game time he has had to make a impact like he has done is a strong sign . I fully expect Sturridge to leave now

Tie him down to a new contract to get more money on a potential sale!! Smart business.

Shocking decision wouldn't get anywhere the squads of the other top teams in Europe.

What would you do with Origi and Sturridge? Do you think both or one of them deserve a new contract or should we sell the pair and sign another young Striker for the next season?
