The Declan Rice to Manchester United transfer story has been doing the media rounds for quite some time now.
With Ander Herrera set to leave the Old Trafford, United have identified Rice as the primary target.
However, the new reports say that the Red Devils are even willing to part away with Nemanja Matic in their bid to secure the signing of the English midfielder.
Nemanja Matic joined Manchester United in July 2017 from Chelsea for a fee of around £40million, reuniting with his old boss Jose Mourinho at the Old Trafford.
A lot was expected from the Serbian who was once regarded as the best midfielder in the Premier League. But, things haven’t been quite so rosy for the 30-year-old here as he has failed to make a big impact with his performances.
The arrival of Declan Rice and the rise of McTominay and Fred could see the Serbian fall down the pecking order in the next season.
Maybe, it’s best for the club and the player to part ways, unless, Matic is willing to play a bit part role next season!
