Liverpool are looking to add fresh legs to the squad in the summer. To this end, forwards seem to be the first priority, having sorted the defence quiet recently.
Sadio Mane, Salah, Firmino could do with some competition for places. If Liverpool do not get their hands on Thorgan Hazard for whom the competition is about to heat up, they will target Douglas Costa.
Costa, who is currently out with an injury moved to Juventus only last summer. In 17 appearances, he has only scored 1 goal. Juventus may want to cash in given Italy doesn’t seem to be the place where he will flourish.
Liverpool would only add him as an option from the bench but for that purpose, his £45 million price tag could be detrimental. Hazard is available for almost the same price and offers more resale value.
