Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is reportedly keen to leave the Anfield this summer in search of first-team football.
The 31-year-old Belgian has made only two appearances for the club in the last season.
Mignolet is looking for first-team minutes, after he fell in the pecking order, to Alisson Becker, who emerged as the first choice for Klopp at Liverpool.
According to the Standard, Klopp feels Mignolet, is a capable backup to Alisson, thanks to his experience in the big games for the club and country.
Recently, Jurgen Klopp had words of praise for Mignolet and said that he is the best number two goalkeeper in Premier League.
“We only have the first XI. The quality of training when all the boys are fit is incredible. I’m sure he (Mignolet) thinks of himself as a number one, but he’s the best number two in the PL. He has improved in the last year because of his professionalism and his attitude. It’s just brilliant.”
It seems that Liverpool is not interested in selling Mignolet, who, they think is a brilliant backup to Alisson and the Gaffer wants to keep him in the squad until the next summer.
