Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has urged the board to complete the signing of Swansea City Star Daniel James.
We’ve already covered the news of Manchester United agreeing personal terms with the 21-year-old, and now according to the latest reports, it was in fact Sir Alex Ferguson, who was the catalyst behind this transfer.
Daniel James scored 4 goals and provided 7 assists for the Welsh side in the Championship season but it was his impressive and impactful performances that caught the eye of the 77-year-old.
According to the reports, Sir Alex wouldn’t say anything in public because he didn’t want to put any unwanted pressure on the young shoulders of the Welsh Star.
As per United sources:
“Sir Alex is a massive admirer of Dan James and convinced he is destined for big things,” the source said.
“He would never say that publicly and put too much pressure on him but he has been impressed by the kid.
“He doesn’t get too involved in our recruitment but he’s certainly excited by the signing of Dan James.”
